Fighter World Museum

RAAF Williamtown, New South Wales

Fighterworld Aviation Museum is located adjacent to RAAF Williamtown, Australia’s most prominent fighter base. From an observation platform you can even watch the comings and goings of F/A-18 Hornets and BAe Hawks. I watched a C-17 take off when I was there. Aircraft on display at Fighterworld include: Avro Cadet, Gloster Meteor, De Havilland Vampire Fighter, De Havilland Vampire Trainer, CAC Avon Sabre, Dassault Mirage fighter, Dassault Mirage trainer, GAF Jindivik target drone, General Dynamics F-111, Hawker Hunter, Macchi trainer, CAC Winjeel, MiG-21, Supermarine Spitfire replicas, Messerschmitt Bf 109 replica and Fokker Triplane replica. Along with these airframes is an extensive collection of aero engines, weapons and equipment from the last 100 years of aviation.
