Aerospatiale SA321 Super Frelon Walkaround

Aerospatiale SA321 Super Frelon Walkaround Gallery from Le Bourget Museum, Paris

This monster is another display at le Bourget in Paris. It is a decommissioned Super Frelon that has been adapted as a simulator display. You take a seat in the main cabin, the rear section of which has been blanked off by a rear projection screen. You are then taken through a SAR mission with a motion picture display on the screen and lights and sounds replicating the helo noises. While not being anywhere near a motion-simulator experience, it is educational and worthwhile. Of course, it's interesting just climbing inside the thing! The lighting was quite dark so these pics are quite grainy.
