BAT FK-23 Bantam Walkaround Gallery

BAT FK-23 Bantam K-123 Armee de l'Air

This is a very interesting early example of streamlining. Designed by a Dutchman in England, the Bantam was capable of speeds of over 220 kmh, astounding for 1918. It appears it was not succesful as a fighter, though, as only handful were constructed and none entered military service. It is on display in the Rijksmuseum in the middle of Amsterdam. If you look closely, you can see an original Mondrian on the wall in front of it!
