BELL 47G-3B1 FAA Museum Nowra 2014

The Fleet Air Arm Museum at HMAS Albatross, Nowra, NSW, is quite an exceptional establishment. Run by the RAN, it houses a large selection of Australian naval aircraft. This one I'm not too sure about. It appears to be ex-Australian Army A1-640, and I've found web references suggesting 640 now resides there. So what's with the U.S. medical evac bird markings? I hope they haven't sacrificed 640's Vietnam service honours by chasing a quick TV show reference. A1-640 served with 171 Independant Recce Flight in Vietnam in 1969.
