It was painted up to represent Charles Kingsford-Smith's Altair "Lady Southern Cross" in the movie "Smithy". It was painted silver for a while, sat derelict for 18 years, was handed over to the Australian War Memorial. It is now safely housed at the RAAF Museum, Point Cook, iand repainted in one of it's service colour schemes.
