Duigan Replica

Duigan Replica Moorabbin Air Museum Walkaround

On 7th October 1910, John Duigan flew an aircraft he and his brother, Reg, designed and built. This is recognised as the firdt flight of an Australian built aircraft. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of this flight, a replica was made and flown. This replica is now on display at the Moorabbin Air Museum, Victoria. As you can see, it is on display in a small hangar, so it is a little tricky to get an overall view. The original Duigan is in storage at the Museum of Victoria.
