Mikoyan MiG-15 VH-EKI Bathurst 2014

I saw this MiG-15 trainer sitting on the airfield perimiter at Bathurst. I caught a glimpse as we were driving by the airfield and the shape caught my eye as being something unusual. it appears it was belly landed back in 2005 after fuel feed complications left the aircraft in an unbalanced state with minimal control. it sounds like the pilot did a sterling job in just getting the aircraft back on the ground safely, with or without wheels. It looks like it has been sitting there ever since.
