Supermarine Spitfire MkIX SM-15 - MJ783 RAF Belgium 2015

As with many museum exhibits, this Spit has a split personality. It is actually Belgian machine SM-15 under a coat of paint that dresses it up as MJ783, an RAF machine. I guess the Belgian colours weren't sexy enough. There has been a growing trend to return machines to their service colours, so hopefully some day she will be dressed more appropriately to her former glory.
