Supermarine Walrus HD-874 RAAF Museum Walkaround Gallery

This particular airframe has had a hard life. It was used in the Antarctic and destroyed on 21 December 1947 in a gale on Heard Island . It then lay abondoned for several decades before being recovered to the mainland in March 1980. Over several years the artisans at RAAF Museum, Point Cook, restored it to the condition you see here.
