At the time these pics were taken, the Bushmaster Ute had not entered service with the Australian Army. It was under evaluation and this vehicle was one of those in the evaluation trials. Talking with the guys on the ground, it sounded like it was just a formality. They certainly can't wait to get their hands on them, they reckon it's a great bit of kit! It wouldn't be too hard to convert the Showcase Models Bushmaster modl into one of these Utes. Apart from the tray back, the main differences are that the cab has it's own doors.
